Exciting news! Last Thursday my dad booked flights to go to the Fatherland!!!
We are leaving on the 20th of May, and coming back on June 7th. We are staying with our Uncle Bjorn. He is kind of going to be our tour guide. We are going up North as far as Nord Trondelag. All of the major cities that we are going to are Oslo, Trondheim, Bergen, and Stavanger. We all apologize for not posting very much lately. Have a happy St. Mary of Egypt feast day!

Cookie Tradition
Today some of us Norskis honor an age old tradition in our family by baking a special type of sugar cookie. Whether the recipe is of true Norge heritage I don't know, but it definitely is good enough to be! To honor the occasion, I have composed this little cookie eating ditty.

Skiing!!!
We Norskis recently got back from a ski trip. It was highly enjoyable. (Where we got the money to drive there and back from our destination and also to purchase our lift tickets, I am uncertain. Ask Knute.) We had unbelievable snow and weather conditions, and I think we all improved as far as technique is concerned. (I being the most challenged in this area of all the Norskis)
The thing about skiing is, you have to learn to let go of the fear of losing control and crashing down the mountain...and ultimately landing in a tree-well and suffocating to death. I have had the most trouble of all my siblings in mastering this art of not being afraid, but finally, this time around, I was able to let go... for the most part.
No one of the Norskis has gotten seriously injured in this sport yet and we happily hope to be on a mountain again in a few weeks.

Sorry!
I'm terribly sorry that we Norskis haven't been posting an awful lot lately! It's been due to the terrible financial crisis we're in. We can hardly afford an internet connection! You don't know what it's like to want to make a post SO very badly but instead be forced to use the precious money to buy a morsel of bread for your starving little sister! However, our financial woes have been considerably lightened of late because our latest batch of lutefisk sold well at the torg. So I decided to splurge and do this little post.
We'll have pictures of Sven's Norsk Christmas gifts in as soon as we can afford enough batteries for the camera.
